As a native Baton Rougean and a student pursuing her B.S. in Speech & Hearing Sciences at LSU in the 1980's, Angela fell in love with the Southdowns area, and vowed to live here one day. Returning to Baton Rouge after receiving her M.S. in Communication Disorders from William Paterson College of New Jersey, she and her husband Dewey, with two young children and two full-time careers, decided to resettle in Greenwell Springs to be near family, but Southdowns still called! When their older child enrolled as a freshman at St. Joseph's Academy, the family decided to move "to town," and were blessed to find -- on the first day of house hunting! -- their perfect home on Sweetbriar Street. Moving day in 1999 was a dream come true. Since then the children have grown up nurtured by the community of St. Aloysius, and Angela and Dewey have been grateful to have wonderful neighbors as friends. A pediatric speech-language pathologist for over twenty years, now in solo practice, Angela enjoys reading, travel, hiking, sewing, continuing education, writing, and volunteer service. She has served on the SSCA Board since 2008.

Eventually, his talents brought him to performing the research & development of products for a USDA approved processing plant in south Louisiana. Southdowns has been his home for the last 20 yrs where he resides with wife, Julia and daughter, Kathryn. He is a member of St. Aloysius Church.
